Uyuni Salt Flat - Bolivia

The salt flat is made up of a variety of chemical compounds such as; large amounts of potassium, boron and magnesium, in addition to a large reserve of lithium. The salt flat contains more than 10 billion tons of salt, of which 25 thousand tons are extracted for internal consumption.
